The real problem
It isn't talent and it isn't the tools. Most beginner courses are built to hand out a certificate in two days — not to make sure you can still do the work when someone is lying underneath your hands and paying for it.
01
What happened
A big room, two days, and a certificate at the end of it. No live model. Nobody close enough to see your isolation, your direction or how much adhesive is on the tip. You left with a document, not a skill.
02
How it feels
You have the certificate, but you don't book the client — because you already know you are not ready. And it is a hard thing to admit out loud once you have told everyone you did the course.
03
Why it keeps happening
Without someone correcting you while you work, the mistake just becomes the habit. Six months later you are still making it, your retention is poor, and nothing has ever told you why.
If nobody corrects you while you are learning, you don't have a teacher. You have a receipt.
Almost none of that is about talent. It is about whether anyone corrected you early enough for it to matter.
The fix
Every part of this course is built around those three problems. Small enough that you get corrected, and long enough that you leave certain.
01
A room capped at five means your instructor can actually watch your hands. Every question gets asked and answered. Nothing gets missed because somebody else's set needed attention first.
Fixes 01 — The Weekend Certificate
02
Not a mannequin. A live model, with Justine beside you correcting isolation, direction, placement and adhesive control while you are working. It gets fixed in the moment instead of becoming the way you do it.
Fixes 02 — The Confidence Gap
03
The course does not end when the class does. You complete five full sets on real people at your own pace, send them in, and keep getting feedback until the work meets the academy standard. Only then is your certificate signed.
Fixes 03 — Nobody Watching
Most courses sell you the information. We are accountable for whether you can actually do it.

Your instructor
"I took a lash course and started practising on models on my living room couch. That is where all of this started."
Before lashes, I was looking for a way to build something of my own. Work that would give me flexibility, allow me to be home more, and eventually become something bigger.
After I got certified, I started practising on models at home. I didn't have a studio. I didn't have a client list. I had a lash bed, a small space in my home and a lot to learn.
That little lash set up eventually grew into The Lash Studio & Academy.
So I know what it feels like to start with no studio, no client list and no real picture of where this could lead.
And I also learned something early:
A certificate doesn't create confidence.
Confidence comes from understanding the process, practising the skill, and having support to call when the work does not go the way you expected. That is the course I built.
Artists come to me already certified, from a big weekend class, or from an online course, and still cannot do a full set they would feel good charging for.
They weren't lacking ambition.
They were lacking hands-on correction, repitition, and someone experienced enough to tell them exactly what needed to change.
I have watched artists works through those gaps firsthand.
And that's a major reason I built this course the way I did.

The practical details people usually want to know before choosing a class date.
No. The course is built for complete beginners. It starts with safety, anatomy, products and controlled practice before you go anywhere near a live model.
Two days in Edmonton. Certification is completed after class with five practice sets on live models.
Five students maximum, so there is room to ask questions and get direct attention while you work.
No, and that is deliberate. You receive it once five live-model sets have been reviewed and approved by your educator. That is what makes the certificate mean something.
There is no deadline. Work at a pace that lets you focus on careful, safe work rather than rushing to finish.
Yes. A professionally curated kit( that is currently used on clients) comes with the course and is curated specifically for this training: lash trays, tweezers, adhesive, mannequin head, cleansers, patches, tape and more.
Pay the $2,200 in full, or hold your seat with a $250 deposit that is non-refundable and non-transferable. Afterpay and card payments are available at checkout.
You will have the training and the tools. Most artists build their speed and confidence through the five practice sets first.
